Limited number of seats still remain for May 12 Opening Series game; all other games now on sale as well

The Lancaster Barnstormers inaugural game at Clipper Magazine Stadium officially SOLD OUT on Saturday morning, after individual game tickets for all 70 inaugural season home games went on sale, according to team officials.

A limited number of seats still remain for the second game of the Opening Series celebration against Atlantic City, scheduled for May 12. The May 12 game will include many of the festivities planned for the home opener, including a post-game fireworks show.

After the ticket office at Clipper Magazine in Mountville and phone lines opened at 11:00 a.m., seats for the May 11 home opener were gone shortly before noon. Fans can purchase tickets for the May 12 opening series game, along with all other available games, one of three ways:

  • Via phone by calling 717-509-HITS between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
  • By logging onto www.lancasterbarnstormers.com, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
  • In person at Clipper Magazine in Mountville during normal business hours.
The line stretched over 300 deep at Clipper Magazine on Saturday morning, as fans purchased individual game tickets for the Lancaster Barnstormers inaugural season game. Keith Scheuing proudly displays his tickets for this season, including Opening Day. Scheuing, who is the father of Barnstormers pitcher Matt Scheuing, got in line at 3 a.m. and was the first to purchase Opening Day tickets on Saturday morning.

Over 300 people were in line at the Clipper Magazine building at 11:00 a.m., with the first in line being Keith Scheuing, father of Barnstormers pitcher Matt Scheuing. Keith arrived at Clipper Magazine shortly before 3:00 a.m. and proudly purchased four tickets for the May 11 opener eight hours later.

"We are extremely grateful for the support and enthusiasm of our fans," said General Manager Joe Pinto. "We are looking forward to not only a memorable Opening Night and Opening Series, but 70 fantastic home games in our inaugural season at Clipper Magazine Stadium."

Barnstormers' inaugural season ticket packages are also still available via phone or internet. To date, the Barnstormers have sold over 4,800 season ticket packages. Opening Day at Clipper Magazine Stadium is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11 when the Barnstormers take on the Atlantic City Surf in a 7:05 p.m. contest.
