Popular third base coach Frank Klebe will be at the helm when the Barnstormers defend their 2006 Atlantic League championship. |
Coaching Career:
Took first coaching position at his alma mater, Glen Burnie (Md.) HS in 1983
Coached at Community College of Baltimore and Catonsville Community College from 1983-1986
Simultaneously was an associate scout with the Baltimore Orioles
Joined the Orioles as a coach at Bluefield, 1987-1988
Served as batting practice pitcher for the Orioles for three seasons
Worked one season in the Cleveland Indians organization
Returned to coach junior college baseball in the ‘90s
Spent four seasons in the Philadelphia Phillies organization at Batavia and Reading
Advance to the playoffs in two of his three seasons as manager
Has managed current major leaguers Ryan Howard and Chase Utley of the Philles, Indians center fielder Jason Michaels and Twins starter Carlos Silva
Returned to Orioles organization as a third base coach at double-A Bowie in 2002
Joined the Barnstormers as a part-time coach in June 2005 and became full-time in September
